Things I have learned in Yoga

As yoga students, we learn to practice yoga on and off of our mats.

It is OK to cry on your yoga mat. (it probably needs to be cleaned anyway).

Props are your friend—so grab those blocks, straps and blankets!

Do not eat anything an hour before practice. No excuses.  No explanations

Yoga is magic for your body, your heart, your mind and your soul.

It is difficult to describe that magic, but it is always felt during and after a yoga practice.

Those yogis from 5000 BC knew a thing or two, let me tell you.

Don’t wear fuzzy socks on your mat (you will pick fuzz off your mat for days)

It is ok to be weird about someone else using your mat (always ask permission)

Creating yoga playlists is way more fun than creating yoga sequences

Yoga memes rule.  All of them. All the time.
